The pulse jet system is used for cleaning or more clearly dust removal of filter bag surfaces where dust has settled on the bags during the dust collection process.
In the dust collection process, the airflow carrying pollutant particles passes through the filter bags, where dust particles are separated by the filter bags, and clean air passes through the inside of the bags. However, during the operation of the dust collector, the accumulation of particles on the surface of the bags prevents the bags from performing proper dust separation, meaning the dust collection process is not carried out correctly.
In this case, the accumulated dust on the surface of the bags must be cleaned off (shaken off) so that the bags can properly perform the dust collection operation again.
What is a Pulse Jet System?
The pulse jet system consists of several components that use compressed air to clean dust and other particles from filter bag surfaces. This system consists of a compressed air source, diaphragm solenoid valves, a pulse controller, and nozzle tubes that direct air to the bags. The compressed air is supplied by a compressor which is stored in a special chamber behind the solenoid valves. When commanded by the pulse control system, the compressed air is injected into the tubes.
The diaphragm solenoid valves are of on/off type to open the compressed air path into the tubes when the pulse controller sends a signal to the solenoid valve. The nozzle tubes, each with nozzles positioned at the center of a bag, are responsible for directing compressed air into the bags. Through the nozzles installed on these tubes, air is injected into the bags. The pressure of the air injected into the bags and the reverse flow of air through the bags causes cleaning or, in other words, shaking off the dust on the surface of the filter bags.
